Yasser presents an encounter between Shakespeare and the Middle East: a Palestinian actor in Europe prepares in his dressing room to go on stage as Shylock in The Merchant of Venice. Praised in the British press for its versatile, moving and personal character, this monologue by Dutch-Moroccan author Abdelkader Benali saw its successful Edinburgh Fringe production followed up by runs in London, Chicago and The Hague.
